AI surveillance to tackle textile pollution
SURAT – An Indian textiles and dyeing hub has launched a 24-hour AI-powered surveillance system to monitor and penalise textile and dyeing factories emitting illegal air pollution.
The initiative, from the Surat Municipal Corporation, marks a significant escalation in efforts to clean up one of India’s most polluted textile hubs.
